About me
Librarian by day, mother of two, artist & crafter whenever she can squeeze it in; Virginia has been involved with CLAU for 12 years, and has chaired many of the committees. Her favorite part is reading all the nominees to her daughters. This is her first year as President. She has a BA in Communication Disorders from BYU, and an MA in Library Science from UNT. Her work in the world of libraries began when she was a 16 yr old shelver. Virginia has been a librarian, with an emphasis on children and families, in the Salt Lake County Library System for 14 years. When she is not busy acting out Frozen, or building LEGOs with her girls, she loves to experiment with various art techniques, work on jigsaw puzzles, crochet, sew, and sneak in some piano time.
