About me
Kimberly Brubaker Bradley is a #1 NYT Bestselling author and the winner of two Newbery Honors, for her novels The War That Saved My Life and Fighting Words. A passionate advocate of the freedom to read, she is also the co-founder of Appalachian Literacy Initiative, a nonprofit that gives over 50,000 new books each year to low-income schoolchildren. She and her husband are the parents of two grown children. When not travelling, they live with an assortment of animals on a farm in Bristol, TN.
